Happy Desember

Panama is a great place to be in Desember, away from snow and cold weather. You should come and visit if you have a chance!!! We came back from Taiwan 2 weeks ago and the DTS finished Desember 7th. It's sad to see all the students go home, yet I'm glad to know that some of them are coming back in January!!!! Jippi!!

Nathaniel and Elizabeth are joining the Dts staff team. They are married and both from Wisconsin.

Iselinn is also Dts staff. The one starting in January will be her 4th Dts. Aaron is from Mexico. He'll be involved in Dts outreach.

Getting ready to leave

I went to the night marked last night with Virginia, Chen, Dino and Noelle. It was a lot of fun hanging out, eating octopus and squid and other interesting things.
Everybody I meet are so excited about my height. They tell me I'm "Too tall", which I have got translated into chinese and now use as my name - "Tai Gao".

Tomorrow we'll fly out of Taiwan. I have enjoyed every moment here. Thank you so much to eveyone we've got to know, we'll miss you a lot.

On the other side of the world..

A lot of cool things have happened since my last update. We've been at a lot of schools, doing more dances and dramas than I can count. Today was our last preformance before we go back to Panama, and I'm pretty excited about that. Tons of kids have heard about Jesus as we've been telling them stories from our lives.

(We went to the 101 building. The tallest building in the world, more than 500m)

People in Taiwan are great. We have met a lot of university students and we have been hanging out with them, learning about what's on their hearts and sharing our hearts with them. Sharing Jesus is so much more than telling about this guy who lived 2000 years ago. People open up when they feel the love and concern that you have for them. As Jesus is changing our lives, He is making himself known through us. As we love like Him, people get to know His love. As Jesus is formed in us, people will get to know Him while spending time with us. Some people have decided to follow Jesus. Others are still thinking about it. I hope and pray that they will all realize the truth.

We're going back to Panama on Friday. The time has passed by way too fast. I hope I'll come back to Taiwan some time in the future. Going back to Panama will be great too, I miss the people there. We'll finish the school Friday, December 7th. After that, most of the students will go back home to finish university. I really believe this time in Panama and Taiwan has marked their lives and they will make a difference wherever they go.

Thank you so much for helping us, supporting us and praying for us while we've been running the DTS. It would be hard to accomplish anything at all without you.

Taiwan outreach..

It's been raining all day, we're sitting in our apartment in Taiwan waiting for the rain to stop. Later today we're going to the university, hopefully to play basketball or something like that.

I'm on outreach with the Dts and this time we ended up i Taiwan. I love it here. The people are very friendly.
We've been here for about 4-5 days already and we're returning to Panama Nov 30th.

Much time is spent at the university campus hanging out with the students, playing basketball, soccer or eating lunch with them. Since we know only about two phrases of chinese, our conversations go mostly in simple english. Actually, there are a few students that speak spanish, so we're making an extra effort to get in contact with them. We might have a latin-amercian party one night and invite all the spanish speaking students from the university.

The Rock is a cafe in down-town Danshui. They are open every night during the week handing out free tea and coffee to anyone who wants to visit. There are always a lot of Ywam'ers there ready for a coversations. I think it might be a little hard for a non-christian to sneak out a free cup of coffee without having someone come over to try out the last learned strategy on evangelism. We go there every night to hang out with our new friends.
I hope that during our time here in Taiwan we might see some people come to know Jesus. Our desire is to let Jesus do his work through us.

That's enough for now.
visit later for more updates (hopefully not too long)

Veldig flott her, folk er utrolig hyggelige.

Here are some pictures from my sisters wedding. Magnus was the lucky guy. It was an exciting day and I'm happy I was able to be there.

Mission adventure with First Free

It's been a lot of traveling lately. The last two weeks I led a team from Wisconsin up into the mountains of Chiriqui - the western part of Panama. We worked like crazy to finish all we had planned. We went there to raise a building for a church out there. Evangelism, house visitings, teaching the leaders, church services with Jesus movie and feeding programs were also part of the daily schedual.

Here is the family we stayed with. We camped on their property

Her er Kommunesenteret/kirken/gestehuset vi bygde
Here is the Communitiy center/Churche/hospitality house we made
